"Unable to Detect Browser Wallet" Error?

General Tips:

  • Disable ad blockers
  • Unlock the wallet before use
  • Clear the browser's cached data and relaunch
  • Restart the browser after adding the wallet's extension
  • If there are more than 1 wallet extension downloaded, disable the wallets not being used

Using Wallet Extensions With Brave:


  1. From browser, click on Edit Preferences (Gear Icon) on the bottom right
  2. From Settings, click Web3
  3. Select Extensions (Brave Wallet Fallback) for Default Ethereum Wallet
  4. Refresh
  5. When executing an action, select your wallet choice, not Brave Wallet
If you would like to use Brave's native wallet, select Brave Wallet from the dropdown



  • To clear cache on Brave, go to (Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data > Time range: All time > Clear Data)
