How to Connect and Claim to a MetaMask Wallet

MetaMask mobile app is unable to connect via WalletConnect method. If you would like to connect using the mobile app, you will need to follow the steps below using their built-in dApp browser.

Step 1: How to Create a MetaMask Wallet

1. Download and open the MetaMask Wallet browser extension
2. Check 'I agree' > click Create a new wallet > I agree > create a password
3. Create a password > check 'I understand' > click Create a new wallet > Secure my wallet
4. Click Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase > copy seed phrase > click Next 
5. Verify seed phrase and click Confirm > click Got it > Next > Done

Important: Save and secure your seed phrase and password

Step 2: Change MetaMask's network to Polygon Mainnet

1. In the MetaMask wallet, click on the top-left dropdown arrow
2. From the popup, click Add network > click Add next to Polygon Mainnet
3. When prompted, click Approve > Switch to Polygon Mainnet > Got it

If the Polygon network does not appear by default, follow these steps to connect MetaMask to the network:

- Go to PolygonScan.com
- Scroll down to the website's footer and click on Add Polygon Network
- MetaMask will prompt you to Approve the changes. After you do, click on Switch Network

Step 3: Add the MetaMask Wallet to Your Account

1. Log into your Unstoppable account and MetaMask Wallet
2. On UD.com, click on Account in the top-right, from the dropdown select Account Settings
3. On Account Settings page, click +Add Wallet
4. From the popup, select MetaMask > verify 2FA email/authenticator
5. When prompted by your wallet, click Next > Connect > Sign the transaction

Step 4: Claim a Domain to MetaMask Wallet

1. Go to your My Domains page
2. Click on Claim / Unstoppable Vault next to the domain > click Claim into your wallet
3. Select the Trust Wallet address > check I Understand > click Confirm > Verify 2FA
4. Done...you can track progress, which typically takes about 10 minutes.

If you're using the dApp browser in MetaMask:

If you created your account using the Continue with Google option, you will not be able to sign into the account on the dApp browser of MetaMask (the built-in browser) since Google is a centralized platform.

Instead, you will need to reset the password of the account by following this link and then select the Continue with Email option as you're logging in.

Alternatively, if your MetaMask wallet is already connected to your account you can sign in using the Connect Wallet option - keep in mind that this only works if you previously connected the wallet to your UD account on a desktop browser, if you haven't done so this will create a new UD account using your wallet address.
