Resolving domains in Brave

Modified on: Wed, 6 Aug, 2025 at 1:59 PM

Brave Browser and Brave Wallet natively support the below TLDs for resolving websites and sending & receiving crypto payments. No additional browser setup or extensions are required.

If you would like to learn how to set up an IPFS website and attach it to your domain, you can see our blog post here. To check if your domain is properly configured, visit it directly in Brave Browser.

Important: Make sure you're using the latest version of Brave Browser to ensure your domains resolve properly.

For resolution in Brave Wallet, please ensure you have added your crypto address to your domain. Once done, you’ll be able to send cryptocurrency to any domains with the supported TLDs listed below.

You may notice that .888, .hi, and .go are not included in the list of TLDs natively supported by Brave Browser. This is due to technical and regulatory considerations:

  • .888 is seen as an IP address by most browsers, which can cause resolution issues.

  • Two-letter TLDs like .hi and .go are reserved by ICANN for potential country codes. While these specific TLDs are not currently in use, we aim to avoid any potential future conflicts.

These TLDs will still resolve properly when using the Unstoppable Browser Extension
