Every plan includes credits, and you can buy more or, on the Free plan, bring your own agent subscription. This article explains how credits and plans work. How AI credits work
The work you run — agents in a worktree, a pipeline, or the assistant in a Cowork chat — spends AI credits as it goes. You have a balance that goes down as work runs and back up when credits are added: daily free credits, a monthly allowance on a paid plan, a purchase, or an automatic top-up.
The plans
- Free — a set of free AI credits every day, plus the option to bring your own Claude or Codex subscription and run agents on that instead of credits.
- Paid plans — include a monthly pool of AI credits and let you buy more whenever you need them; higher plans include more credits and a lower rate on extras. Paid plans come with a free trial, no card required.

Buy credits and automatic top-up
You can buy more credits at any time from Billing in your account. Turn on automatic top-up to buy credits automatically when you run low, so work doesn't stop for want of credits.
Teams and organizations
On a team plan, credits come from a shared organization pool and seats are covered by your organization — so individual members don't need a personal payment method of their own.
Where to manage it
Open Billing from your account to see your credit balance and credit activity (daily free credits, trial credits, and purchases), buy more credits, or turn on automatic top-up.
